The Independent Learning Centre is a Department of Education and Child Development (DECD)/ICAN initiative. The ILC is designed to provide a flexible enrolment option for identified students. The ILC will focus on providing flexible support to keep young people aged 16-19 engaged in schooling or on a learning pathway.

The ILC will be primarily responsible for the development, monitoring, review and recording of all learning associated with an ILC enrolment.
